Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is the most famous temple in the ruins of northern Cambodia near Siem Reap, and has been onn UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1992 along with other parts of Angkor. Cambodia’s pride, most visited and greatest attraction in the country – an iconic construction.

Angkor Wat was built by King Suryvarman II
It is said that it took 37 years to build Angkor Wat by the king Suryvarman II, which died before it was finished, which explains why the temple is not finished. With the help of 300,000 workers and 6,000 elephants, the temple was built by hand. Dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu but later handed over to the Buddhism. The monks are part of everyday life in Angkor Wat today. It is so beautiful, peaceful and captivating – it is an experience that you will not forget.
